Lysander's is a local rub from Sanford, FL.  I decided to read the directions after I already smoked the ribs and it says "(DO NOT COAT MEAT)"  LOL  I guess I should have read the directions first.  Here is a list if the ingredients:  Salt, Sugar, Onion, Paprika, Black Pepper, Natural Mequite powder and oil, maltodextrin and other spices.
A 3.8oz bag is suppose to cover 6-10lbs meat.

Is it bad if my wife refers to the smoker as "The Mistress"?

Snelly, not familiar with Lysander's Rub.  Can you elaborate?
Yes inquiring minds want to know. Some may even want to know where to get it.

It was good, I just think I "over did" it since it is salt based.  I got it from the local Kash-N-Karry supermarket.  I anyone wants PM me their info and I'll send some out.  Here is a link to their site:

Snelly, thats an interesting twist with the rice wine vinegar. I have some really good spiced wine vinegar but I thought it would dry out the ribs.

I cant take credit for the rice wine vinegar....  I stole the idea from FLBR.

I wouldn't say stolen. More like freely given.

And I picked the tip up from one of RonBeaux's posts.

Thanks Randy and Ron -

I took the ribs up the Bucs game with me and I must say the night in the fridge gave the flavors time to settle down and the ribs were much better.
