It was a dark and stormy night ...
« on: November 13, 2010, 06:00:35 pm »
OK, just dark.  Actually quite a nice day.

Lesson to be learned.  I put some of the Soileau's rub on the NY strip and did in a grill pan on the stove top.  I was sneezing, my wife was sneezing as well as the cats.  The suuff can be dangerous to use indoors but it came out good.  A simple dinner:

Nice grill marks.....   Soileaus definitely has a kick.
Is it bad if my wife refers to the smoker as "The Mistress"?

Gezondheid!

Sure looks good to me, Arnie.

As good as the food looks, I am disappointed.  Your last "dark and stormy night" episode included women's' undergarments hanging from your ceiling fan.   ;)

Eric, I can send you some ladies undergarments.  Would you prefer used or new.  ??? ;D  Please send me your size.  :D

This kind or reminded me of a time long ago when I used a wok.  The oil was red hot and I threw in some hot peppers.  Nearly knocked me over and I've never seen the parrot again.

The grill pan was running around 500.  The steak came out good.  The green stuff was left over.  I used some hard roll from a local store.  Tomorrow is pulled pork sammies on rolls from Arthur Ave., NYC.
