Well it's been darn near 2 weeks since my carpal tunnel surgery so I decided to go ahead and cook something easy.  Today I'm cooking what I call butter chicken.

Now this is a different way I'm doing it tonight because I have the rubs and sauces that CB had sent to me so I thought I would use one of them in the place of the normal recipe.

I used sticks real butter, 2 tea spoons Char-Broil "All Purpose Rub".  Removed as much fat from the butter as I could and mixed in the rub mix to blend to flavors.  Next I injected the mixture into the chicken then  I rubbed it down with more of the all purpose rub, then I placed it in the SRG.  Now I'll smoke it for 1 hr on low and then rip it on high till crisp and done!

Finished bird pictures coming soon!

OK guys here is the bird, I smoked it for 45 min's (wanted an hr but ran low on time) then turned to high for 20 mins plus resting time.  It is cold and windy here so it took longer then normal.

Have you ever seen such a juicy bird?   ;D

Only thing that was bad is Kimmie had to cut it up and she hates anything to do with cutting birds!

Love those BE's for makin' juicy chicken. I know yours is an SRG but that is just a glorified BE.  :D
I like to walk threw life on the path of least resistance. But sometimes the path needs a good kick in the ass.

Cold and windy here so it does take it longer to smoke/cook.  Now I know low and slow will take longer and that's ok but it sure is nice it have a turbo cooker in the backyard if needed!

CRG, it feels so good to start getting back to normal (whatever normal is) LOL

Man that bird looks fantastic TMB!

I'm glad you're getting better Tommy.  Take it easy and try to keep the chickens under 5 pounds  :D

Dang, Tommy that look's tasty! Would not know about the Char-Broil seasoning. Me and 10.5 winded up on the "non loved list".

ArnieM

OK, I'll bite.  What's the "non-loved list"?

CB sent out spices to some of the guys on the forum,  some got them and others didn't (hence the non-love list) those that didn't get them
