Needed help,but not now!

I was having a problem with my SG turning off in about 10 seconds after turning it on yesterday. Lumpy suggested I call Bradley today and I did.

Spoke to  the tech dept,and was told that I wasn't pushing the buttons hard enough (I've only been pushing these same buttons for a year or so) ,but I figured "what the heck,I'll give it a try".

Walla !!  It worked !! I'm smokin' again !

i keep reading about this, what happens, buttons just get brittle and fail after time?
