Hi,  Just got a Bradley Original Smoker.  Smoking beef Jerky this weekend and Salmon later on today.

I love this smoker!  Going to have to buy a thermometer so I can see the temp inside instead of going in and out of the house all the time.

welcome to the forum and you might think of the maverick dual probe thermometer as an accessory and you  will have good use of it

Greeting RFT and Welcome to the Forum.

Congrats on the New Bradley.

Welcome RFT - The dual probe Maverick is the way to go. I have one on backorder waiting for the new version in late December. Meanwhile this week my probe on the another brand I own gave out and I couldn't by a replacement probe. Oh well, quick next-day delivery from Amazon and I now own the 'older' two probe Maverick and will soon have the newer version. Between those and the PID, the inside of my OBS will look like the spiders took over ;D

Enjoy - It is contagious!!!

Hi RFT and welcome to the forum!  Remember the pics.

I'd hold off for the newer Maverick.  Better weather proofing and range.

WOW!  what  Awesome greeting from everyone.  Thanks!

I will hold out for the new Maverick to come out. THanks for the tip.

I will get some pics up of my "smoking treats"

While I am new to the Forum I am not new to smoking, just smoking with a Bradley,I was using a big Chief before.  It's getting cold here in NCW and am thinking of making a thermal blanket from foil shield bubble wrap.  I made them for my chief and worked well. Do you think the Bradley would benefit from an extra layer of insulation?

By the way. I got my Bradley from Cabala's on sale for $254 abouts and had another 50$ off in online coupons.  Great price and I figured is I waited for another two weeks I would be kickin myself in the butt if they were gone,
