It really taste like an apple pie. We took a couple bottles with us on a golf trip last spring. It was made with the cinnamon sticks.

Although I don't drink we keep a gal size jug on hand cause Kimmie does and so do our friends,  great stuff they tell me!

I just like apple pie with a scoop or three of vanilla ice cream!  ;D

Is it meant to drink cold or warm or both?

classicrockgriller

You drink when you get cold and it warms you up! ;D

Mine is served chilled. Mainly shook up rolling around in the back of the truck all day deer hunting then when we are all done hunting for the day and the guns are put away. Some sorry SOB always seems to drop the cap in the deepest ditch in the deepest snowbank and we can never seem to find it. So we just empty the bottle
Bacon is the Crack Cocaine of the Food World.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Tommy, are you trying to start something?  ???

NePaSmoKer

This is what the coal cracker folks up here drink around the holidays.

BOILO

Ingredients

1 pint water

4 oranges, quartered

3 lemons, quartered

6 cinnamon sticks

½ teaspoon whole allspice

½ teaspoon whole cloves

1 cup raisins or currants

1 tsp. caraway seeds

4½ pounds clover honey

½ gallon 190-proof grain alcohol or your choice of whiskey

Method

Mix water, honey, fruit and spices in a large pot. Heat to low boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes, stirring often. Strain into a large pot. Add alchohol, stir and heat to a low boil. Remove immediately from heat and bottle. Keep refrigerated. When serving, heat until warm and sip from shot-sized glasses.

That sounds delish. If you minus out the currents, caraway seeds, alcohol and heat factor and insert brown sugar, salt, onions and anise you pretty much have the brine I use for my Christmas turkey.

This side of the state, whoever opens the bottle (usually Black Velvet, but sometimes "Aimin' Oil" which is Black Velvet mixed with Butterscotch Schnapps) throws the cap as far as he can to the darkest area. ;D
