I made up a batch of Hot Chocolate for the Yardapes when they came in from playing outside today. 8 inches of snow and 13ยบ sunshiny weather they was playing in the snow. I thought I would share this recipe with everyone. Especially the ones in the cold areas, that lost the recipe that their Mom used to make.

Hot Chocolate

2 Cups Non-Fat Dry Milk
3/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (I like Herseys)
1/2 cup Non Dairy Creamer
1/8 tsp Salt

Optional 1/2 cup Mini Chocolate Chips

Mix/whisk everything together. Put 3-4 Tablespoons of mix in cup and add Hot Water and stir. Of course you have to add mini marshmallows to make it perfect!!

Makes about 4 cups of mix.

If I wasn't making it for a 11, 10, 9, and 6 yr old Larry I would have put some Cinnamon Schnapps in there. This is for the kids!!

If you want to put the Yardapes dang near into a coma without the peppermint schnapps try this hot chocolate recipe. I stole it from a source that if I would give credit to half the country probably wouldn't even try it. But I did and it's SWEET:

5 pints of light cream or 1/2 & 1/2.
12 Hershey candy bars.

Slowly heat cream on stove, break candy bars in small pieces and slowly add to warm cream. Stir until melted candy is fully mixed.

Serve ASAP and try not to go into a coma.

Did you put the tiny marshmallows on there for the Misses Ron?

Didn't have any, nor was there whipped cream. But I did use real whole vitamin D milk instead of powdered.
