I got my DBS yesterday and today I am going to do a small batch of ribs after I season it. I have bought the six rack and well where is the best place to put the ribs, bottom middle or top of the smoker only doing a small batch of ribs for starters. Any advise is much appreciated.

Middle, not the bottom, too close to the element.

You will want to rotate the rack back to front, the back of the cabinet can be hotter than near the door.

middle to top depending on how many racks of ribs you have, and rotate top to bottom and front to back once an hour to hour and half  because it is hotter above the element in the lower back of the smoker

thanks for the advise am going to start the ribs just after noon.

Welcome micman. Hope the first batch turns out. Just remember low and slow and don't rush them. Good ribs are like good wine. They take time!  ;D
