2010 Christmas Candies
« on: December 08, 2010, 06:37:32 pm »
You guys asked about them and here is the final product -

Just got to dip a few more caramel and toffee, box everything up and mail it out.

Added a couple different designs, flavors and techniques.  I am really liking the Scottie dog, plaid/tartan transfers and the orange speckled ones.  I have to replace some of my old molds next year as some of them are sticking from scratches.  It gives less than smooth, shiny finishes.

All goes well and somewhere from 48-55lbs of candy should be going out.

None of these but I will be doing some fudge later with chipotle.

Thanks all.

That's how I got my wife ;D  They say candy dandy but liquor’s quicker but at least no one wakes up the next morning wondering what they are doing there and who is this next to them after a night of bon bons.

Sorry though these are for family and co-workers.  If I have spares I will put them up for sale locally but I tried that order things years ago and it cost me a fortune.

No problem, fuel is expensive these days and if it's "char"coal even better.

Flavor guide -

1 – Dark chocolate truffle
2 –  Kahlua truffle
3 – White chocolate truffle
4 – Love potion truffle (cocktail)
5 – Vanilla truffle
6 – Peanut butter truffle
7 – Rum truffle
8 – Raspberry truffle
9 – Mimosa truffle
10 – French Kiss truffle (cocktail)
11 – Milk chocolate truffle
12 – Mudslide truffle (cocktail)
13 – Surah truffle (wine)
14 – Amaretto cappuccino truffle (coffeehouse)
15 – Creamsicle (cocktail)
16 – Habanero, mango, rum truffle
17 – Hazelnut truffle
18 – Dipped caramel
19 – Brandy truffle
20 – White chocolate cappuccino (coffeehouse)
21 – Cookie dough truffle
22 -  Grand Marnier truffle
23 – Champagne truffle
24 – Dipped toffee

The ones labeled cocktail are based on the drinks of the same name and the coffeehouse ones are an experiment making different coffee flavored ones using Kahlua and other alcohols to give a kicked up latte.
