Got home, grabbed the mail from the snow-filled mailbox, and proceeded to start shoveling the snow/ice off of the driveway...   I get done and come inside to warm up.   Notice a round-ish package in the pile of mail w/ a Texas return address.

From DTAggie, along with a nice note and Christmas greetings..

That will warm me up a notch or two!    Thanks man!

The real deal is Finer/Redder/HOTTER.   :o

I'd say, take the clone and go 1-1-1/3-1/2 (salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne), mix, and then run it all through a burr grinder or something to weaponize it.    That will get you closer to the Real Thing!

WOW.  [still sneezing a bit]

Thanks again, DT!

I think he is trying to convince Santa that he has been a good boy.

Pretty Nice David.

Pat glad it showed up in that snow storm.  I didn't notice the spiciness on the butt but I certainly did on the brisket from the post I did this weekend.  This was my first go with it and really like how it turned out. On a brisket just don't over do it.  The butt can handle a good rubbing of it.

Just a note on the factory Salt Lick Rub.

When I got my first bottle and used it the first time, it was salty.

I poured it all out into a bowl and mixed it well and refilled the bottle

and it taste a lot better. It is a great rub. I think the salt comes to

the top as it is traveling down the road. Try it, you will like it.

Sonny - That's probably a great thing to do with all these store-bought blends. It never occured to me that the ingredients might settle or seperate. You da' man!
