It was 13 degs this morning and I needed something to eat that would warm me up from the inside. Grits are the thing! Some butter, pepper a side of toast and juice and I'm full warm and happy!  ;D

That looks like a great start to the day.

Love Grits with butter and a sprinkle of Sugar or Cinnamon.

What's in the toast sandwich?

Love grits in the winter time. Ann can't stand them, but for me it's comfort at its best to start the day with.  :)

What's this grit's thing ??? Here in SoCal we're supposed to eat a bowl of bark and twigs mixed in with some kinda soy/tofu stuff...ewww! Me, it was eggs with a side of brisket and a little sour dough toast. This Bradley thing has me spoiled ;D

I too love Grits...

I lived in Florida for about 8 years and while living there one of my co-workers mother would have us all over for breakfast.

She would do scambled eggs covered with grits, then we added sugar on top of this. Sausage or bacon were the meat options and toast on the side.

I still have this today when out for breakfast at such places as Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, etc.

I love grits. Normally I have them with salt and pepper. Sometimes I like cheese grits with fish. That sugar on grits must be a northern thing. I was born and reared in the south and it is rare indeed to find someone who puts sugar on grits in most of the Southeastern US.

And put me down for baked cheese garlic grits and shrimp!

It's funny you can get something as simple as grits in a fancy restaurant all dolled up and have to pay a premium price for it. Well KISS (keep it simple stupid) my grits! No offence intended, it's all about an old TV show and I like mine with butter and pepper, not Heinz 57 or lettuce or tomato!  ;D

You may be starting to get old it you get that?  ;)

The toast and juice look great.  :)
Sorry but I'm a yank and am not into grits.  :P

That looks great.  I'm a yankee and love grits.  Can even get them here is Switzerland from an on-line shop that sells goodies from home to expats.  Being the glutton that I am I usually add a couple of pieces of Canadian bacon and scrambled eggs.
