Hello i am Bob, the last few days i've read a lot about the digital bradley smoker and i thought i found the solution for my smoking problem.
But since i've read a few topics on this forum i found lots of troubles that can happen to the bradley smoker that was suppose to give me
an easy way to smoke and enjoy smoked food
I phoned a few restaurants which told me that this smoker was absolutely the best but now i think i make the wrong choice to buy a bradley
My situation: living in the northern part of Holland, hunting goose and ducks, love good food, lots of friends who love good food also.
Planned to use the bradley smoker  once or twice a month, someone on this forum to persuad me to buy a Bradley ???????????

Greetings Bob
(hopefully my english was not to bad).

Johanna,

it is a good smoker, though with anything that is made by man, a few will have problems and due to design and real life things may not always match, also every now and again in manufacturing there is a bad run on items dont  let all this give you  a bad taste about the  bradley, I have owned mind for 6 years now and love it, gets used 2 to 3 times a month and up to 24 hours at a time with no problems.

one thing that you  should be aware of is  extreme cold, 20' f or below ( i might be corrected here ) there has been issues  with the sensors for temp controller  not  working  properly and if you  are in cold weather  like that or  colder , just move the smoker to a warmer place .

hope this  helps and welcome aboard

Bob - Welcome to the forum. I've owned my Original smoker for about 6 months now and haven't had a lick of trouble. I did buy one of the popular digital temperature controllers and that too has been great once I got past the initial learning curve. My impression after reading this forum all this time is that the problems related to the Bradley itself are really few and far between. I'm not sure what disadvantages may crop up by being located on the other side of the pond, but the Bradley company itself has proven that customer service is a primary concern. You will also find that you have a lot of support right here from the members of this forum.

I would not hestitate in recommending a Bradley to anyone. Hope this has been of some help and comfort.

I have a 4 rack digital and yes the temps do swing +/- 10 degrees it is really no big deal unless you are doing sausage or fish. Have not done many birds but I have done chicken and it came out great. If you plan on doing sausage I would highly recommend a PID. It will keep temps +/- 2 degrees.

What kind of problems are you having or are worried about and maybe we can help. There are a lot of helpful
people here so don't be afraid to ask.

Here's my take on "problems"

They are going to happen with any product. It's how the company stands behind that product that is important.

Bradley does an outstanding job with customer support.

Well its hartwarming to see so much replies in such a short time, even from more than 10.000 km away.
I have made a telephone call to one of the stores who sells Bradley they insured me to do anything to make the Bradley work properly
it was a pity that i had missed a demonstration last September.
