Im so sorry to hear about your  mom having cancer, my prayers are  with her and and your family that  she is as comfortable as possible, finding  this information at this time  of year makes the season that  much harder to deal with, I know you  love your  mom and family  very  much, try to enjoy this Christmas season with her and your  family

Thanks folks. There is no hope of healing and I have come to terms with that. It does hurt but my only concern is that she not suffer. This is not my first experience with family and friends passing with cancer. All but one of them had several months of suffering (primarily from the treatment). Mom is only going to have enough treatment to help with the pain.

I'm deeply sadden to hear the news about your mother. I will keep her and your family in my thoughts.

If Hospice is not involved yet, it may be helpful if you get them involved. Generally this service is setup by the hospital. Hospice can make your mother's quality of life much better, and bring comfort to her and your family.
