Prime rib & Yorkshire pudding Dinner

To many pictures to post on the "whats cookin fer christmas thread"
Got the pan ready

Seasoned the prime rib roast

Cat gets to sit in the lid we wont use

On the Q and ready to roll

I slipped a couple Bradley alder Pucks in the In Hole ;D

Reached the 135 degree mark

Resting and cooling

Grabbed the dark drippings out of the foil pan for gravy

Poured the clear drippings back into the 400 degree pan and added the Yorkshire puddin stuff (got a canook fer a wife)

Cat gets his before me  ;D

Sliced her open for plating

Yorkshire pudding is Done!!

All done and Plated,Awesome Dinner and all cooked on the primo  ;D

Never seen but have heard of Yorkshire Pudding.

That looks great, heck of a Yorkshire Pudding Keymaster..... never thought about doing one like that but definately something to try!  :)

That looks like a wonderful meal was had all around.  I'm with Manxman about the Yorkshire pudding - never seen one done that way.  But it gives me lots of ideas.  Plus I don't have to buy those little molds I'll use only twice a year.

I have to agree with you Caneyscud, the pudding was a little unorthidox and was the first time I tried it on the Q. I seriously did not think it was going to rise but all the little BBQ elfs worked their magic. We usually Make it in the household oven in a 9" X 9" cake pan. The Lump coal and Alder gave it a great flavor  ;D

The last couple of smokes in a stickburner, I've wanted to do the YP as an experiment - but have had a full load and not able to.  Very glad you proved to me it can be done. 

One of those Primo XL's is on my wish list.  I'll probably have to wait till something rusts out though.  I've got a BBQ Guru and fan just waiting to be installed.
