After almost 63 years as a guy (including 35 years of federal service) I'm an expert at denial.  If there are no photos it never happened.  If there are photos, they were obviously photoshopped and it still never happened.

OK I think I have Kimmie talked into the trip.  Now she has to inspect the hotel (a women thing I guess) and see if it's good enough.
She is leaning towards going I do believe   ;)

I wonder if TestRocket and Miss Jan would go with us?  Truck is plenty big enough for 4 folks that's for sure.

Well alright TMB!  I've stayed at the Sonesta probably 25-30 times.  I think it will come up to her expectations.  The Monteleone is directly behind the Sonesta and the Ritz Carlton is a couple blocks away if she would like to check them out too.  The Omni Royal is about 3 blocks away as well.

The State of Louisianna has just announced that the National Guard Units in the New Orleans area have been activiated effective 4/25/11 in preparation for the influx of a group with a notorious reputation that has been rumored to be planning to descend on the city during the last week of April. The State spokesman stated that at this time there is no reason to evacuate the city, however residents are advised to initiate emergency preparations. This is currently just a precautionary move as rumors of the growth of the size of this group continues to spread over the internet.  Further announcements will be made as more details are known.

Just learned that part of the time when Jan and I are going to be in NOLA, so is Ka Honu.  Jan and I are scheduled to arrive 4/22.  Ka Honu is scheduled to arrive late 4/26.  Jan and I are scheduled to depart on 4/29.  That means we have a 48 hour window of opportunity for a "gathering".  What cha say Ronbeaux?  What cha say CRG?  Close enough for anybody to meet Ka Honu, Jan and me?

I've heard they have some fairly decent food in NOLA. ;)

BTW, did I mention I'll pay for the drinks if anyone wants to/can join us.   

If Kimmie and I go you may regret that comment, she can put beer down like water.  Hence the reason I get to cook as much as I do!   ;D
