Aronia Berrys

I've been at a work shop most of the day learnin how to grow and market the Aronia Berry.

And picked up a couple bottels of wine.

Now I aint a wine drinker but this stuff is pretty damn good and good for ya too. ;D

The Aronia Berry has the highest amount of antitoxins of any thing on the market today.

They make jelly, salsa, BBQ sauce, syrup, vinaigrette, hot sauce, vitamans and a bunch of other stuff outta the berrys.

Looks like a good market to get into.

Where were the berrys grown for that product?

Seems like every six months they come up with new better berry to make you healthy that tastes great. The last one was the Acacia berry which is pretty tasty. They said it had the highest amount of antioxidants too. Well as long as it taste good I would drink it, eat it, rub it on my balding head. :D :D :D

The ones in this wine are grown right across the river in Mosuri Vally Iowa.

The neighbor down the road has around 2000 plants.

Most of the berrys are grown here in the midwest.

We were talking today about putting 1000 plants along my east fence line.

When mature you will 20 lb per plant, takes 5 years to mature though. :-\

If grown organic, which is what I'm planning, $4.00

Then when you take the harvest, trucking and broker fees knocks them down to just under $3.00

I'm thinkin retirement funds. ;D

I forgot to mention the cost of the plant and what it would take to plant it.

I was figurin it would take 6 or 7 years before you would see the full profit.

Well it is still a nice figure to retire with. I would say go for it. If I could do something like that I would crawl threw cactus to get it done.

I'm working on gettin things ready for a fall planting.

I'm thinkin I gotta sell a toy or 2 to make it happen. :-\

Well just think of it like this, you sell those things today for the income it provides later which you can use some of to replace the toys with newer better models. Everybodies happy.
