Smoke NW

Hi, just joined the forum but I've been lurking for a while. I currently have an OBS which I've owned since shortly after they were introduced. I've just upgraded to an Auber plug and play and added the second element with circulation fan parts on the way. I used the smoker frequently in the beginning for fish and then life kind of got in the way and it sat on the shelf. Recently I decided to begin processing my own summer sausage, snack sticks and recently did some ribs (I think I'm in trouble ;D). I am continuing to learn the different processes and techniques and the information on this site has been a tremendous help.

Welcome Smoke NW...this is a fun place to play!!

Hey Pike...MT..Montana...I worked on a ranch in Montana...where is Missoula?

pikeman_95

Missoula is in western Montana. If you saw the movie The River Runs Through It  that movie was about Missoula. Lots of mountains, rivers and Lakes. If you like the out doors it is the best. I swim and spearfish northern pike that is why I have that Handle. Where did you work on a ranch. What part of Montana??

Smoke NW

NW as in NW Oregon, on the Columbia River, Approx. 50 miles East of the Pacific ocean. Spring Salmon are starting to run so it will be time to smoke more fish soon ;D. I actually don't smoke very many of my springers as they are so rich they are usually eaten before they make it to the smoker. But there is always Sturgeon, summer steelhead( also good pickled), and fall chinook, which are almost always smoked. Pikeman_95, I've been planning to  build one of your stuffer designs so I'll probably have a multitude of questions for you in the future. Thanks for the welcome.
