Otherwise known as "Restaurant Depot".   ;)

Foodservice supplies, stacked to the ceiling!

5 gallon buckets of everything imaginable...

A walk in 'cooler' many many times the size of my house.

And quite a bit cheaper than Sam's Club, as they deal in bulk only, and isn't open to the general public.

Let's go on a tour!

Goya goodies.

Gallon jugs of Crab Boil.

Enough tomato sauce to keep Deb in pizza mode for 100 years.

Now on to the cooler...

Crates of Jalas.  (and 50 pound bags of carrots and much more I didn't get a picture of because I made a beeline to the..)

Meat!

This looked interesting..

Prime!

The fight isn't over until the winner says it is.

That was the individually packaged stuff...     There were cases galore.

Whole lambs.

Pulled pork sammy fixings for all my friends!

(70-80 pound cases of bone in pork butts)

Over on the discount cart were a couple 20+ pound hamzillas.

Chicken pieces/parts, stacked to the ceiling.

Pig in a box!

10 pound blocks of cheese.

I walked out with a Turkey boulder (2.20/lb) and a box of latex prep gloves, before I headed to..

And my field trip ended shortly after that.   Had to drop a car at the airport for MrsSTC to drive home (she's in Jupiter, FL)

Didn't look like Jupiter in STL.   More like the North Pole.

Anyway, it was a fun recon mission.  And I'll be headed back again for sure. (with more than a small suitcase to carry stuff in)

I need to renew our KCBS membership!

(that's all it takes to get in - they give you a day pass, which they unceremoniously shred when you check out)

Wow!!  that is wild,  I think there is one about 45 minutes from here.

I read on another forum that they will give you a membership with any professional designation/license - I will have to see if mine works (not that it's remotely food related).  If not it might be time to join KCBS

You want the 6-1 tomatoes for your pizza  :)  I don't see them in that pic but I'm sure they are there

Wow.

I would have chained myself to something...
