Wouldn't you know it?  We won the title in 96 and 98...
I was at the Final Four in Indianapolis in 97 and we lost that championship game to Arizona in OVERTIME!
Credit due:  Simon and Bibby played one helluva game.  They beat us fair and square.

I remember being awful proud of my KY bretheren...
Blue and white folks out-numbered those AZ fans by 30-1 (they HAD TO BE intimidated)...
I'm sure they wondered (if only for a moment) if they weren't gonna meet some hostility.

But when it was said and done...
Those AZ folks had to put their credit cards away.
They were seriously congratulated, and the Blue Nation paid the bar tabs.

A Kentucky Gentleman is never, ever, unintentionally rude.
