Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  ahhh --- the wonder of technology!!

Got here yesterday.  Had to get to the Airport at 3:30 a.m. so almost as soon as we got here, we crashed into our beds.  Slept for something like 12 hours.  They haven't seen rain since October, so really dry.  And their rainy season is still a month or two away.  First time in my life I got on line to check the forecast, and it listed "smoke".  Apparently there is some antiquated ways of farming around here.  But the mangoes are just ripening - wow are they good.  Man, I shoulda boned up on my spanish before leaving.  Ok on the Centro Americano food though.  Tomorrow, we start treating people.  Great group of medicals, including my wife and daughter, and can't wait to see them work.  Haven't seen the abject poverty yet - that is tomorrow.  But seeing some of this makes me want to kiss the ground in Nashville.  Gotta get to bed, we've got to get going early tomorrow, a long drive up into the mountains, plus we have to try to bypass some violence from some strikes tomorrow!

PS - even though a little up in elevation - no evidence of mountain streams and flyfishing!  But lots of grilled meats – however, no evidence of low-n-slow yet.
