Hoping to try my new DBS 4 rack tomorrow on some pork ribs, but 30 mile and hour wind gusts a rain showers may hamper this effort. I have a covered patio so I may have to do some engineering to get some wind protection. Temps should be in the upper 50's. Wish me luck! ;)

Perhaps a wind-break would do the trick.  Know anyone with a semi-truck and trailer?   ;)

Good Luck, it will be well worth the effort.

Patio umbrella on end would help quite a bit.

Problem is the Colorado winds, I live right along the foothills of the Rockies and the wind tomorrow can have gusts up to 70 miles an hour. Patio umbrellas would be in Kansas by dinner. ;D

You might have to set up shop in your garage..

Or have a shipping container delivered to your house.      :D

I think that I am going to have to get a few slabs of ribs and a brisket through this thing before the wife lets me spend money on a garage set up. LOL! But it is definatley in the near future.

You could just set the smoker in the garage and open the door, of the garage, to let the smoke out.

Well good luck and if you just got that new smoker I am sure you will solve the problem of the wind...we like pictures...

Thought about the garage OU812 but my kids bedroom is above the garage, not enough ventilation to let out the smoke. I will definatley take some pics.

Sweet!

Now, do you have a heavy gage extention cord?

The Bradley wont work very good on one of those wimpy cords, to many Amps are lost on the way to your smoker.

Go and buy one of those cheap two man dome tents for a temp solution. It will get the smoker out of the wind until you have a better solution.  ;D

The beautiful thing is that I ran power to my shed when I rebuilt my deck last summer. I am thinking that the cleanout is not going to happen this weekend but I have a project for next weekend. My neighbors will love seeing the smoke pouring out of the shed, time for a trip to Home Depot.
