I added a relay to the controller as arcs n sparks suggested.

Looks nice. Still working on my custom controller (phase control using a triac vs. on/off control using a relay). Couple more weekends and I should be done. My friends have told me just to buy something off the shelf, but this has enable me to avoid the honey-do list for awhile (plus it's fun).[:D]
