I'll install it on Thursday when I have the day off. I'm not going to hook it up if I don't have several hours to try it out...LOL!!! What should I make on Thursday....Hmmmmmm. Too bad my new Cabelas grinder is dead, I'd make some sausage.

Make it from preground meat. I do it quite often when in a hurry.

If I had a stuffer that would work. I was planning on using the grinder as a stuffer. I guess thats why I'm getting a Kirby Stuffer. I almost don't need a grinder then.

Smoked meatloaf sounds good, it aint sausage but its close. 

If you want to test the ramp feature of your PID you could smoke some salmon, it does close to the same temp ramp thing as sausage.
