Ugh.... No Heat, No Smoke....

As some of you guy know I have owned a masterbuilt electric smokehouse for the last year and half.  Well this weekend it smoked its last smoke....   The cabinet will not get any hotter than 112 degrees.   >:( >:( >:( I am going to call Masterbuilt and see what kind of support I can get from them.  I have had mixed reviews from a few guys on this forum about their tech support.  I know most of you guys are gonna be like "time for a Bradley"  ;D ;D ;D  And trust me, I would love to own a Bradley, but the timing just really sucks right now.  With baby #2  coming any day now a new smoker is not in the budget.  So wish me luck!

That is too bad Snelly. I have heard some good things about Masterbuilt smokers and their customer service so hopefully they will take care of your :)

Kinda makes me wounder how you can get 112, maybe its the thermometer.

I double checked the cabinet temp with my maverick. 

UPDATE:
I spoke with masterbuilt customer service and they said they would extend my 1yr warranty if I can find my recite.  So now I have SWMBO contacting Lowes to se if we can get a recite from 2 years ago.  When I asked if they would just send the new element they said that they actually will send out a whole new unit.  Pretty excited about that!  Hopefully we can get a recite.

Thats GREAT news.

We were able to get an receipt from years ago at Menards,,, just had to swipe my card and guess the year, only took 3 guesses and about 10 min and I had it in hand.

If we dont hear back from them today I am going to go by there in person.  It was actually Nepa's who got me thinking that Masterbuilt might fix/replace mine. When we were at the FL Smoke Out he was telling me a story about a friend of his who had a masterbuilt that had the element go bad and was able to get a new one even though it was out of warranty.  Thanks again Rick!
