No worries, I also got the leg racks AND the cast iron griddle top too.

I didn't know there was a cast iron griddle for the SRG...

Thanks a lot!  ;D

Well let's see, without this site I doubt I would have bought.... OBS, auber PID, extra rack kits, stuffer, grinder, frogmats..... MAK 2 Star, Meadow Creek PR36, Big Easy, so many rubs, spices, and tools that I had to buy a SS unit for the deck to hold them all, then there's the BBQ class taught by Johnny Trigg I'm flying to Cali this November to take....  It all started here first.

La Quinta

I think Johnny Trigg is kool beans,,,seems like somebody you'd want to learn from...Myron Mixon....not so much...I detest arrogant cooks...he may have won a lot of trophies..but I can;t stand somebody who thinks he has nothing more to learn...just MHO...

That is just too cool. I'd love to go to one of those classes. Have fun, I'm jealous!!!

Yep, it all started when I brought home the smoker and Carla didn't ask what it cost.
I have gotten a couple of eye rolls in the last year, but I guess after 33 years together she knows I like good equipment,
and lots of it ;D

It's an Investment. I know my stuff will all be handed down to my kids as they grow up. If it isnt the actual equipment it will be the knowledge of how to do the things we all do. Along with the memories of doing it with Dad.
To heck with that. They will have to pry my Bradley out of my cold dead arms.  ;D ;D ;D
I like to walk threw life on the path of least resistance. But sometimes the path needs a good kick in the ass.

My oldest daughter said if she can't have my Bradley then she is going to stuff my corpse in it and dump it in the ocean.  :o I think that means she will inherit it.

I prefer to look at it as me SAVING money!!!! Just worked it out the other day.....8 racks in my 4 racker does about 5 1/2 lbs (wet) of beef jerky. Saves me about $120 per smoke after costs versus retail. I can get about 15lbs of smoked salmon per smoke at a savings of about $230 per smoke (not including the cost to actually fish and catch the salmon, those costs are considered "guy time to keep the sanity"  ;). Cheap fish if I'm in my waders with the fly rod off our beach, not as cheap if it's a weekend trip to Nootka Sound!!! )

As far as I'm concerned...I'm up hundreds and hundreds of dollars!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
