It shifts the weight from the front feet to the back feet.  It can also be accomplished by placing a piece of wood 1/8-1/4 inch under the the front feet.  Shifts the weight towards the back.

It's not a 100% guarantee that it will prevent the faceplate from cracking, but it has worked for many.

I recommend adding the extra washers to raise the cabinet. This helps prevent moisture from seeping out of the bottom door seal.
