Jasper Strassenfest Barbeque Contest 4th out of 38.

Traveled to Jasper, IN back on 8/5/11 to participate in Jasper Strassenfest Barbeque Contest 08/05/11 to 08/06/11.

This was a pretty good weekend...we finished 4th over.

Overall: - 670.8572
Chicken: - 167.4286
Ribs: - 165.7142
Pork: - 172.0000
Brisket: - 165.7144

Not tally into the score was sauce and we finished 2nd....Using Billy Bob's Que - Memphis Red Sauce.

Here is my Backwoods Party in action:

This is the pit of Yellow River BBQ...this is their first year.

I really liked their rig!

The red trailer belongs to Gary Duncan of Able Acres BBQ...They ended up as Grand Champion.

Hal...check out the Blue Stretch!

The pitmaster for Stink-eye, James Caldwell, is very hilarious person to hang out with.

We followed this up with participating in last weeks...

I think he said that he found it on Amazon, Mobile Scissor Lift. His name is Jeffrey Sharp and his team is "Yellow River BBQ"

I'll ask him at the next comp in Connersville, IN on 09/03/11.

Yeah Sonny, there were a few Backwoods Products...

mostly the Fat Boy's but there were a few Party's, Chubby's and at least one Competitor!

After the comp my wife and I went over to Santa Claus, IN to do a little shopping. About a 15 minute drive.

After I purchased what I wanted$$$$...well can I say that I quickly became bored and was ready to make the long drive home.

Off to the next one.

Nice! Been there MANY times...
Apparently, it's a good place to get gas between Springfield, IL... and those majestic twin spires!

Several Stretch units in the competition.
Able Acres BBQ has two on the back of his trailer...

They were Grand Champion!
