I keep getting this error message?

So when I click on show unread posts since last visit and have read the ones I wanted to read and than click on mark all messages read I get this message for some reason.
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.
All the old messages are still there.

Think I solved my problem. For some reason I had to enable compatibility view on IE. Seems to fix my problem. Hmmm, I hate gremlins.  >:(

Here is a tip. I was looking for a way to individually mark certain threads as read. After communitcating with Brian he informed me of this handy tool. If you don't already know this, or don't currrently have the check boxes to the right of the thread. You can add a check box so you can individually select which threads you want to mark as read.

Hover your cursor over "Profile" and select "Account Settings"
Hover your cursor over "Modify Profile" and select "Look and Layout"
Scroll to the bottom of that page to "Show quick-moderation as" in the drop down menu select "Check Boxes".
Click on "Change Profile"

Now when you select "Show unread posts since last visit" or "Show new replies to your posts"; you should now see check boxes, and "Mark Selected as Read added to your forum.  Click on the box will give the thread a check mark, then click on "Mark Selected as Read".
