bitter condensation at vent?
« on: December 03, 2005, 07:21:35 pm »
i'm smoking a brisket today with oak and i tasted the brown condensation on the top of the smoker vent and it is very bitter. Will this bitter taste end up on the meat. The smoke has been going for 2 hours.  thanks

No--I've seen/tasted that stuff, too, and its just because the outside of your BS is so cold compared to the smoke temp that you get the condensation.  No need to worry.
