I was back in the AV last oct/nov visiting my family. Littlerock was where i was raised. The AV sure is big now. I remember when Lockheed was built, AVHS and PHS hated eachother, sierra hwy was the main rd to and from Palm/Lanc, I 14 was being built, Carrols western wear in Mojave, when the train de railed in Palmdale with 105mm ordinance and we had to evacuate for a few days, crusing Lanc blvd on fri/sat nights, throwing a snowball across Lanc blvd and hitting a LA County Sheriff car, hanging out with our neighbor who was an LA County bomb squad detective, when sun village was a thriving small town, Lake LA was a scum hole town, tossing tide into the Palmdale water company fountain, buying beer and spirits at C-Bar-b in Littlerock, getting lost at Sears when it was 10th St and ave k, when the mall was being built, Finally leaving Hawthorne Northrop to work in Palmdale site 4 then finishing my 20+ at ASD/B2 Div on Challenger Way, Burying my father in Palmdale RIP Pop  :'(, Saying goodbye to my family and the AV to move to PA.

Lake LA ain't changed at all ;)

I have been out here since I was 11 years old. Moved out here from the San Fernando Valley when my parents divorced. I graduated from Highland HS in 1993 :o

Bought my house out in Lancaster when I was 22 and was working in Valencia for a while and then transferred out here many years ago. It is nice not having to commute!

I too remember when the Palmdale Mall was being built and when the Lancaster Cinemark came in. I never saw the Sears in Lancaster though 8)

They say that most people end up staying in the town or city they grow up in. I guess I am a good example of that :)

My family thats still there said you will be back...I dont think so, just to visit though.
