Anniversary Tri tip

......well it was suppose to be.  I got it to smoke in the early part of Sept for our anniversary(36)....but HWMBO said he was taking me out.....and no arguments!  So into the freezer it went.  I took out to thaw Thursday, ready to smoke today.  Going to be for sandwiches tomorrow. (I don't cook on Sundays durning football season  ;D) Just using salt, alot of black pepper and garlic powder.  I fold the tail end under so it won't cook to fast.






Used 2 hrs oak until IT of 135, put on grill for a bit of char



Foiled for 30min, then cut tail end for taste, wrapped up for tomorrow.



Can't wait until tomorrow!

Simple sammy....toasted bread with garlic butter and jalapeno jack cheese.  It was so tender and tasty!
