For the heck of it we made Drunken Apples.
Core the apples but leave a bottom so the sauce will stay in

Next add spiced rum to them and let them sit for an hr or two in the fridge (sorry no picture)
Next use the rum to cut the caramel a little and fill the apple core
Place them in the cooker and set temp setting to high.

In about 15 min's or so they should look like this

Let them cool a little and serve them up

These would go great with ice cream

That looks like an easy peasy desert.

So you poured spice rum in them first and that soaked into the apple.

Then you pour in a mixture and spice rum and caramel and cook them.

Got ya!

Yep!  Pour the rum in the cored apple and let sit (1 hr or more) then pour the rum out of the apple and use it to cut the caramel a little. Pour that mixture back into the apples and cook!

If you cut them up in the bowl so you get bite size chunks the caramel really coats the pieces very well.

This one is a fall recipe  keeper!

I'll give it a try but the rum usually wouldn't make it long enough to get into the apple  :-\

Looks like there's a lime in play there too ??

We were trying to keep the apples from turning brown.   A lime was all we had because I forgot the pineapple juice.
