The Danby Cold Smoker Adapter Kit

Been meaning to make this all summer but now that the weather is chilling off I got off my a** and made this up with a broken microwave from work. The recycling places are full of these things. All you need is a dryer vent hose and some short pipe connectors. A good pair of sheet metal cutters and a drill to start your pilot hole. Oh and also some duck tape, can't forget that  ;)
And you will be helping the environment by recycling  8)

The other cool thing is the micro wave had a fan kit on the back that will fit my bradley very nicely  ;D

Just something to try before you take the fan out of the micro wave:

Wire the micro for fan only and after the smoke cycle, take the smoke

gen off and cover the hole on the micro wave and you may get a great

wave of air that would be perfect. Also may want to put a variable speed

switch on the cord coming from the fan to control the flow. A 5" hole saw

would make a nice cut also. Great Idea!

I guess I had a brain fart! After thinking about this, you would have to get

the fan to blow in instead of suck out the back. Reverse the polarity or turn

the fan itself around. Sorry for the bad info.

I like that microwave idea and the fan! I also have a micro wave that don't work. Thanks for the tip. This is nice enough to add to the mod list.

Well I have the Microwave but its a stove top type a little long 24 ". But may make it work til I can get better. See amazon has the Bradley one for around 80.00 now.

I gave this a shot the other night. First tried while the smoke generator was still going but that just made the smoke go back into the SG which I figured would happen. After the smoke was done I turned the fan back on and monitored the temp inside the smoker. Right from the start it was dropping by 2-3 degress every 30 seconds. This I can say was because of the cold outside temps and the fan sucking the cold air and forcing it into the smoker. This might be a good idea someplace warmer than northern Ontario but up here where it is cold 9 months out of 12 it just dont work.
