Buddy has freezer full of deer meat that is vacuum sealed. How long can it be kept in this condition. Can't find a straight answer online.

I've found packages in my freezer that were over 2 years old and they tasted fine.

Edit; They were vacuum sealed and in the back in a dark hiding spot.  ::)

We try not to keep over a year, but sometime some will find a hiding spot in the freezer and it goes longer then a year...we never had a problem with Vac sealed...

As long as it is holding its seal it should be good. I have found some in the bottom of mine that was 3 years old. Ended up being some really good sausage it did

Ive also ate 3-4 year old deer meat. As long as it's sealed and not freezer burned,it will be fine. Now if it stinks or turns green or some thing give it to a friend to try. LOL
