Hello, newbie here.  Buying the wife a smoker for her birthday.  I am picking up the original with the manual controls later today.  i also got the ET-732 thermometer and 2-120 packs of bisquettes, 1 apple, and 1 mesquite.
3 guys I work with have bradleys and the wife loves to smoke fish and will love ribs and shoulder.
She allways used the little chief in the past, so this will be an upgrade.  Located in Idaho.  Thanks to all who have posted info here, i have been reading for awhile and learning alot.

Hello, newbie here.  Buying the wife a smoker for her birthday.

yeah, yeah, buying the wife a Bradley!  That would be like me buying the wife a fly fishing rod.   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just poking a little.  She will be happy with the Bradley and so will you when you get the eat the goodies!  A thoughtful gift.  and that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Hi Chuckster and welcome to the forum.  Sounds like you already have some smoking experience.  Might want to get some hickory pucks as well; good on pork.

The wife really seems to like the birthday present ( I say HA...to the nay sayers... : )  )
Now we have it out of the box and will most likely be doing the burn in this evening after work.  Trying to figure out the first project, cause she wants to do a turkey for thanksgiving...personally, I would like to do something else before that, like a pork butt or a tri tip.   Any suggestions?

Thanks

And you're still alive and your pelt is still all in one piece?   ;D ;D ;D ;D

BTW - there is plenty of days between now and Thanksgiving.  Just think what you could do!  Brisket, butt, ribs, tri-tip, chicken, duck, fatties, moinks, abt's, etc....   You are only limited to what you can eat and give away - oh and that nasty paper green stuff!

And we weren't naysaying.  Just worrying about the welfare or our newfound friend.
