Well ready to send Auburn PID back after testing every thing they told me. Then I noticed I hat time and temp backwards. OBS was set to 60 and time to 140. Well redid my settings and now it works great. Would have been embarrassing if I had sent it back. Its he'll getting old.lol

Well never quit smoking. When pid wouldn't work. I used the maverick 732 to watch and adjust. Then 1 probe went bad on the maverick (3 weeks old) so used the one left to watch cabinet temps till with in a couple degrees then put it in meat for final it. Now both maverick probes quit tonight. Glad the PIDS working. My Maverick is reading over 200 on both probes and I'm in the house with a temp of 69. But still smoking. Thanks for all the kind remarks! Will post pics later.

A few months ago I had put my OBS in the Garage because of a brewing storm.  Then back to the patio and loaded up 5 pounds of Stix.  Set the PID to my snack stix settings and after 2 hrs my temp was only 90 which was the outside temp.  WTF?  Seems like when I carried the smoker out my big belly hit the slider and turned it to the lowest setting.  The PID was working it's butt off and the cabinet would never come up to temp.  Pushed the slider over and she came up and all was good.  That is a Duh moment for sure.

Enough ain't enough and too much is just about right.
