Hey everyone.
Just got my Bradley 4 rack smoker yesterday and I'm excited to start using it. I'm fairly new to smoking. I've had a cheap Brinkman electric smoker since July, and it's been alright, but I was ready to take a step up! My dad bought a Bradley a little while ago and really liked it, so he bought one for me as an early Christmas present.
Can't wait to use it and to start smoking everything i can think of!!  :)

Does anyone know why it won't let me makes posts from my phone using Tapatalk?

Also is there someplace on the forums that says what all the abbreviations mean that everyone uses?
Thanks again everyone!

I dunno about your phone Jake.  I don't use a cell phone  8)  Someone living in the modern world will likely come along and help.

I think there's a section on terms at susanminor.org.  I can't find it at the moment but you should go there anyway for the recipes and some tech talk.

A few common terms:

OBS - Original Bradley Smoker
DBS - Digital Bradley Smoker
SG - Smoke Generator
IT - Internal Temperature
FTC - Foil, Towel, Cooler - Wrap the meat in foil, wrap that in a towel and place it in a cooler to let it rest.  Any reasonably insulated appliance will work; microwave or room temp oven.  Just keep it away from the dog.  Usually done with pork butt or brisket.

Post back with any more questions.

You probably have to get past a minimum # of posts (5 or so) before the forum will allow Tapatalk to post for you..

Me too but I keep it on the backup drive for times like this. I really think it should be a postie.
