I'm thinking about getting a grinder/stuffer and was wanting some recommendations on what to get.I've been looking at the cabela's one's.I'm leaning towards   their 3/4 hp commercial one.Anyone have one of these? And is 3/4 hp stong enough?Or is there a better one out there for the same price range?

Hi Mez,

I have the 1 1/2 hp and love it, it's a beast and usually takes as much time to break down and clean as it does to grind meat.  A friend bought the 1 hp last year and is equally happy.  I would recommend going to the 1 hp if you can, the reverse gear comes in handy.
I have the cuber/jerky attachement and they work great too.  Stuffing works OK, especially since they have the cyclone tube, not ideal but it will get you by and build arm strength- but last year I added a stuffer to the mix too.
Get the foot pedal if you will be working by yourself and use silicone spray after washing to help prevent rust.
I hope this helps!

I just bought the 1/2 HP Cabelas grinder last week after talking to NEPAS. That is what he has and he grinds more than a lot of people do. I have not used mine yet but its real quiet, compared to others I have used. And built real well. I was leaning tward the 3/4 HP but if a 1/2 HP works well for Rick, then I know it will be plenty for all the more I do anymore. BTW, they are on sale.  :)
