Been lurking for a few days and have already smoked chicken, ribs and a pork butt succesfully with thanks to you guys for the info/recipes posted. I know the family is onboard because the wife came home wih a brisket for this weekend.  :D
As for the smoke shack (Outhouse, lol) ...I thought I'd take advantage of the long weekend and build a place for the Bradley to reside. Really made a difference on the heat too. Enjoy.

paint it on - if you cut it will let rain in

That OBS looks like the hood of my truck...hail?
I may not know much about cooking, but I know lots about eating...

Yep, hail. I just got this from my brother and he had it under a cover in his backyard. Got beat near to death this year. He gave me the smoker and over 400 bisquettes for $125. Works fine. Just not so pretty anymore.

Well done (no pun intended), that's a great idea drury, you have inspired me. I may use your idea if you don't mind. I might try to add insulation and a little chimney stack as well.
I'm just a social smoker, I can quit any time I want.

Nice looking home! I agree that a moon accent painted on would be icing on the cake!   ;D
