hello guys,

i may have missed how to do this,
is there a way to mark a thread to watch the answer/results
without replying to the thread itself?
so it will show up in " the new replies to your posts" or
somewhere so when you  log in you can check this to see if there
is anything new

thanks
either your in, or your in the f***ing way

I think a lot of people just reply to the thread " interesting, watching this thread" or something like that. I don't know any other way.

GusRobin

I just click on the link at the top of the page " Show unread posts since last visit" or "Show new replies to your posts"
"It ain't worth missing someone from your past- there is a reason they didn't make it to your future."

"Life is tough, it is even tougher when you are stupid"

I don't think we have the feature you're looking for ("Subscribe to this topic").  You can either reply to "mark" the topic or just keep your eye out for others' replies as Gus pointed out.

devo

If you look under the reply box there are the words "Attachments and other options" click on that and you can check off "Notify me of replies"

thanks for the responses guys,

so what i've figured out is a couple of ways,
like you guys said just reply "want to watch", but i don't like (want) todo that just so it doesn't
clutter up the thread for everyone else

second is under the reply box like devo said, but you are replying so it will
show up in "reply to your posts" at the top, it just sends you an email to the addy you
signed up as well - kindof a double whammy so it don't miss it

it also shows up in the "show unread posts since last visit", but sometimes
there are alot of posts in there to find the one you are looking for if i remember what is was
called in the first place

there is a way to "mark" the thread when you open thread at the top it has a "notify"
button, so i gave that a try. i a pop-up comes up and asks you if want to be notifyed
by email of new replies. so i have done this to a couple of threads and yes you do
get a email notification of new replies to the thread you are watching.
open email and click on link takes you right to reply on the thread you want to watch.
you can also "un-notify" when done watching the thread. will add some more emails
to your inbox, depending on how may you "watch" and responses to the thread,
but i would MUCH rather get an email about smoking then about something else;lol

i think i am what you guys call ADDICTED TO SMOKING" NOW

maybe a good idea to put this info in the introduce yourself section, so newb's like myself
know, there is so much info and experience to be had on here, might be an easy way
to keep us new guys informed. i am sure lots of people knew this already, just in case
some didn't i thought i would post what i found out

A simple reply to the post such as "Looks good.", "Good idea.", "What no pictures?" ;D ; is not going to clutter up a thread. That is the easiest way to track and monitor a thread.

You might want to send a PM to Brian, the head admin of this forum. He may know, but I have no clue.

yes you are right Habanero it is the easiest way,
just wasn't sure about going about it that way,
as i am new to posting on forums on the net
and wasn't sure if there was a protocol about
these things,
thanks for clearing that up

If ya got a smartphone, you can use the taptalk app. Same concept. The
Subscribe feature will keep the thread you subscribe to in a favorites tab. So you don't have to comb thru ur unread topics. Haven't used computer based in months so I don't remember how it works on it.
