well i am going to take the plunge and buy an auber pid dual probe.
as i am a DBS 4 rack owner i see i need an extra cord.
couple of questions:
i am on the auberins.com site they have dual probe for 185 is this a good price?
and has any one got the wall mounted sensor, i am taking that the wall mount sensor
is the heat sensor, if they do how does it work? or would you stay with the free one?
the boss is going to kill me when i get home, when this shows up,lol
been at work for 7 weeks and have had quite a few deliveries for the smoker  ::)
thanks for the thoughts/ suggestions

Same price I paid for mine on that site. I have the free hanging probe. It will allow you to put it where ever you want or need to get a more accurate temp reading.

I bought the Auber probe with the alligator clip on the end.  That way I can make a drip loop and attach it to the bottom of a rack and don't have to worry about grease or moisture running down the wire and into the probe and ruining it.

rigstar

thanks for the tip tedebear,
where did you get that? from the auber site?

I normally go thru the top vent. But he's right make sure your wire is so it cant run down to the probe. Always keep wire above probe.

forgot to ask

are the probes sensitive to water like the maverick probes?
cleaning tips?
either your in, or your in the f***ing way

GusRobin

yes they are sensitive. Either be careful when washing it or put some high temp sealant.

Yes, it's on the Auberins site in the section for Thermocouple Sensors.
