Since the wife and kid have been gone I've needed to pass the time.  Thanks to everyone for the inspirational posts of all your food.

Smoker full of meat:  Summer Sausage, Turkey Boulder, Pastrami, and some leftover chicken wings coated in Benoit's Seasoning.

While that was going I whipped up a bastardization of a couple different recipes for savory breakfast muffins.  Wife can't stand sweet stuff for breakfast and I figure maybe these will help.  Home bacon, scrambled eggs, roasted red peppers, zucchini, cheddar cheese, garlic and onion.

Holds together, but only just.

Summer sausage out of the smoker and up for a bloom.

Pastrami out.  Wrapped it up in plastic wrap and into the fridge.

Where it was pulled out this morning when I got home from work with it's baby brother Corned Beef.  Bastardized steamer to 160 and...

Meanwhile 1/2lb of bacon into a baby crock pot.

Add in the rest of the players and it's a bacon jam-tastic.

And finally, a lil sliced up summer sausage.  Decided to toss some on some homemade multigrain with spicy brown mustard.  Darned good.

Thanks again to all who have posted recently about there adventures and receipts.  It's truly been an inspiration.
