Had to do something with left over smoked ham.

So why not make ham-n-bean soup.....EH

Cut down the ham, Save the solids with the liquids.

Put all the ham with jellied fat in the pot with 3 cups of water. Simmer for 1 hour or until ham is tender. Cover the pot all the time while simmering.

After the simmer, pull ham from pot. Keep liquid in the pot. Pull or cube the ham. Return to the simmer liquid. Add salt, pepper if needed.

Cut some taters up and add to the pot. Simmer until taters are just a little snappy. Keep heat low.

Next i added 2, 28 oz cans of cut green beans and the liquid.

Re season if needed. I added 3 Tbs of this.

Bring it all back to a simmer until taters are soft.

WOOOHOOO

Soup time.

Yup, I have to say I wasn't expecting the green beans. I figured lentils or split peas. But I like it, nothing wrong with that big ole pot of yummy goodness. Very nice.
