So how do you clean out the left over meat in the stuffing horn? Dowel rod, Wadded up Paper Towel and a coat hanger?? I have a little something for you to try. For the step by step I used my 3/8 snack stick tube. Here's the step by step The way I do it. You may have a better way, if you do that's great show us, this is my way.

Place the cleaned off end under the faucet.

Place a damp wash rag over the end. (Helps stop the over spray)

Press the wash rag up tight against the faucet and turn it on.

I tipped it to the side to show water coming out.

The Meat should slide right out leaving your horn pretty dang clean and ready for a little soap and water and a Hot rinse!

Give it a try, You might be surprised at just how easy it is and how well it works!!

Niiiice!! I see what you were talking about with welding of the washer and the tube for your stuffing tube. That's gonna be harder than the one I grinded down to fit my weston.

Wadded up paper towel and a wooden dowel here.  ;D

I keep the casing on the horn wile I push the towel through, when I can feel the towel cut the casing, remove the towel and twist.

Nice trick.

I use my thumb to push left over meat into the casing.  Once I have all the excess squeezed into the tube and casing then I get a wooden spoon and use the handle to force the extra meat into the casing.  I get all the meat into the casing....no waste.  Then I hold the tube under the water and rinse out the left over meat then use my tube brush to wash it out good.

Enough ain't enough and too much is just about right.

Thin wooden dowel — I've a variety of sizes—seems to do the job.

My earlier attempts using a different method were not as successful.... ;D

I do the same as OU812, and Kevin. I also wrap the dowel with plastic wrap first. It makes cleaning the dowels a little easier. Some wooden spoon handles are perfect for some horns.

I run the hot water on the outside of the tube and then blow it out like I am shooting a dart gun ;D Makes a nice splat in the sink.
The fight isn't over until the winner says it is.

I do almost what ronbeaux does except that I fill the sink with hot soapy water and put the stuffer parts in it and by the time I'm done messing with the just stuffed sausage and it's time to wash the mess then it is cooked and blows right out. Figured that out by chance a couple of smokes ago.

Great info Chris

Wadded up paper towel and a wooden dowel here as well, at least for stage one.

I found a small bristle brush that is long enough to go 3/4 of the way through, then flip around for the final stage of cleaning.
