Korean short ribs(Kalbi)

While I was mixing up the marinade for the Korean ribs tonight I was wondering if any one has made these and smoked them?  And what type of wood used and for how long? Thanks!

I grill them over mesquite and they are great.

Thanks 3rensho.  I just ended up grilling the usual way and skipped smoke.
