Thank you all very much for your kind words !! My wife really appreciates it too. Spike was my best friend, Father-in-law and best man at my wedding. I have honestly never met another person with the kind, generous, outgoing and loving nature he possssed. He was diagnosed with stomach and esophagus cancer about 9 months ago and went through surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. He indured all that and was given a clean bill of health. Then about 3 months ago his intestines got knotted up probably due to the first stomach surgery and burst spreading toxins through out his body so that was a month in the hospital for recovery. Just last Friday he went back in the hospital as his kidneys were shutting down and eventually all his organs shut down last night at the hospital where he passed. The family including myself was by his side as he took his last breath. Spike (Robert) Is in a better place now and the pain and suffering is over but he sure did give it a good battle. Here is a picture from 10 years ago when we took his wifes ashes to Hawaii and spread them 2 miles out in the ocean. Rest in peace Spike, You will be missed !!
