What thermocouple is everyone using?   Are you dangling through the vent or fixed mount in the back?   If fixed mount, what rack position?

Kahunas

I have mine mounted to the back about mid cabinet.

Get the dangler. You can position it just under the lowest rack ;)

I run mine through the door but I clipped it onto a rack. This is only used for this purpose.

I have the Auber K-type TC with alligator clip.  I run it through the vent and clip it to the lowest rack that I have something smoking on.

I haven't had this much fun since the electronic science kits in 5th grade!    Wait............that V-8 engine model in 7th grade was pretty exiting too.

I originally used the wall mount but it wasn't long before I plugged the hole and bought a dangler probe. The issues I had were 2. (1) you should place it under your lowest rack of meat, with the fixed mount I couldn't do this. (2) The fixed probe sometimes got in the way when I had all the racks full. That is the same reason I removed the temp probe that came with the Bradley.

I use a type J T/C and drilled a hole through the back of the tower so the T/C rests just below the second rack from the bottom. Works great.  :)

Yea, mine is the same place. I used a T type, I already had the wire.
