Was walking out the door to walk over to the post office and on my front lawn was a doe heading over to the neighbors apple tree. Went to find my camera and she was already down the street. We get them coming and going this time of the year looking for apples.

I have found that over the last few years I am having as much fun with my trail cams pre-season as I do Hunting. I set them up places that I have no intention to hunt just for the pics. To me it is almost a combination of Trapping and Hunting except you do not have to drag anything out or skin anything but you still get a thrill when the unexpected shows up on your SD card  ;)
It is still a challenge because you worry about scent and if your cams are hid good enough.

Dang! Busted  :o

I love watching deer (don't mind eating them too ..... but the wife would shoot me if I shot one) :o.

At the fishing resort we go to we had 4 bucks walk through our campsite and 3 of them laid down in a vacant site about 50 feet from us and we had a doe come to visit us 3 or 4 times to eat some apples and carrots. We had to go and get more apples cause she would eat 2 every visit and probably more if we gave them to her.  We also fed her by hand ... the bucks were a little more skittish.

Here she is eating out of my hand ... the pic is blurry because my wife took it from inside our camper, through a screen door. But if you look closely you can see the knife in my right hand that I was using to cut the apple into bite size pieces.

I have to think that 'That's not her first rodeo"  ;)
She kinda reminded me of my Border Collie when I am eating Jerky  :)
