As a lot of you know, I did the dual element job and bought a used Auber that had been listed on here about a  month or better ago. I've used it over half a dozen times since the upgrades and these additions have made the Bradley a more robust cooking machine. The temp settings are always spot on, takes just a couple of minutes to come back to the set temperature, easier to customize my temps and times for cooking. The learning curve of understanding how the PID works took a little work, but suddenly a light went on and it all makes sense. Being able to crank the temps up to 2500 and above allows me to bring out ribs and chicken with a nice crust instead of soggy skins. Granted, I don't have control of the smoke generator through the Auber but using the bubba pucks lets me set the time on the SG perfectly and when it goes off the Auber kicks in and keeps the temp steady.I highly recommend doing this modification.

Rex I also have a similar setup and am able to regulate the smoke thru the PID. By holding the set button in for 4 sec at working thru to r-1and r-2 you can turn on smoke tower during the cycle or cycles you choose.  Full instructions are on the Auber web site.

I have a Digital Bradley, the PID won't work on it.
