Smoked turkey, Revised method

2012 Thanksgiving Turkey. Well I did my regular rub, In the cavity put some onion, carrot, celery and cut up Granny smith apple. Then i smoked  a 13 lb bird for 8hrs, Smoked for 4 of those hours, However I smoked it Breast side down. Results all plates cleaned. Why let all those juices just run off, Let the breasts have the moisture, This worked very well  ;D

So was that hanging it or did you just flip the bird over on the rack???

Just turned it over, The first cross hatched breasts.

What temp did you use. I know to use I.T,but where was the smoker set?

225, Bradly seems to like it there, I cooked to 170 internal. Really goog

Sounds good! Ust to stuff like that too but the wife likes bread stuffing so to keep the peace i agree. Sounds  really good.

Things are better in life when you dont up set the main cook! lOL! But My mom cooks two turkeys one with each. And I steal some of that. My brother in law has celiac disease and its safe for him.
